Introduction Based on Ethernet technology development, Ethernet Meter Reading
System is a new-fashioned remote metering System, introduced by
FGP, which consists of the Ethernet Collector, concentrator, and
remote server. A single Ethernet Collector can receive and read 8 pulse ammeters
and 100-route 485 ammeter data, available for intelligent metering”
in residential communities or even all around the city. This metering system is able to read data from ammeters at
real-time or request time. The concentrator can achieve the
reading, storing and sending of the ammeter data. And the remote
server can seek and collect data, as well as abnormality analysis,
charge calculation and bill printing. These make power company save
a great deal of human and non-human resources, as well as improve
the accuracy of reading greatly. The system also allows Internet access over power lines other than
the metering automation, so that this application module stands the
first place domestically. Composition The system is composed of end-users’electric appliances, PLC
modems, ammeters, Ethernet collectors, concentrators and managing
center. The sketch map of the system structure is as follows: Feature 1. It is based on IP LAN and Supports Protocol TCP/IP, terse system
